Yeovil town centre begging and antisocial behaviour concerns grow after PSPO lapse

Concerns have been raised about reported increases in begging and antisocial behaviour in Yeovil town centre after two public space protection orders expired. Somerset Council says there are currently insufficient reports to justify renewing them, but the situation remains under review.

Residents and businesses have raised concerns about street drinking, begging and antisocial behaviour in Yeovil town centre after two public space protection orders expired. Somerset Council says the orders have not been renewed, while residents are being urged to report incidents to help shape the response.
