Yeovil Town’s National League trip to Aldershot Town will be refereed by Niall Smith, who was also in charge when the two sides met at the Shots in May 2025.
That previous meeting ended in a 2-1 victory for Aldershot. Dom Bernard scored late for Yeovil, but his goal was not enough to earn the visitors a point. Harry Kite was the only Yeovil player booked by Smith during that match.
Smith’s previous Yeovil appointments
Smith has also officiated at Huish Park. He refereed Yeovil’s 1-1 draw with Rochdale last season, a match in which Aaron Jarvis was sent off. The red card was the only booking of either colour issued during that game.
The appointment gives Smith another Yeovil fixture after he took charge of three National League matches this season. Across those games, he has shown 11 yellow cards and one red card, with Angus MacDonald of Kidderminster receiving the dismissal.

Andrew Hickman and Dan Frizzell will assist Smith on the touchlines. Nicoleta Bria has been appointed fourth official and will oversee the dugouts. Bria has previous experience in the Women’s Super League, Champions League and international football.
