Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after an assault outside a kebab shop in Stars Lane, Yeovil, left a man in his 20s needing hospital treatment.
The incident happened at around 11.30pm on Friday, July 17. The injured man was taken to hospital with injuries that were not believed to be serious, and he has since been discharged.
Police appeal for information
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said:
“The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be serious and has since been discharged,”
Officers have carried out several enquiries, including reviewing CCTV, conducting intelligence checks and speaking to witnesses. Police have now issued an image of a man they believe may have information that could help the investigation.
The person pictured is described as a white man aged between 18 and 25. He was wearing a black T-shirt, dark trousers and white shoes. Police said no further details about his description had been established.
No wider public risk identified
Police said:
“We do not believe there to be any wider risk to the public.”
