Police investigating an assault in Yeovil have released a CCTV image of a man who may have information that could help identify those involved.
The incident happened outside a kebab shop on Stars Lane at about 11.30pm on Friday, 17 July 2026. A man in his twenties was assaulted by a group of males who were not known to him.
The victim suffered injuries and was taken to hospital, but was later discharged. His injuries were not considered serious.
What police are asking for
The man shown in the released image is described as white and aged between 18 and 25. At the time, he was wearing a black T-shirt, dark trousers and white shoes.
Police are asking anyone who recognises the man, witnessed the assault or has other information that could assist the investigation to come forward.
Investigation continues
Officers have carried out CCTV searches, checked intelligence and spoken to witnesses as part of their investigation.
Police said they do not believe there is any wider risk to the public in connection with the assault.
