Police have released images of two people they want to speak to after a shop worker was assaulted at a Yeovil shop selling mobile phone accessories.
The incident happened in Middle Street at around 4.15pm on Saturday 11 April, according to Avon and Somerset Police. An unknown man and woman entered the shop before a member of staff was assaulted, while a security camera was also damaged.
The victim, a man in his mid-twenties, was not injured. Police said they have maintained contact with him while their investigation continues.
Descriptions released by police
Officers are seeking information about two people who they believe may be able to assist their enquiries.
- The first person is described as a white man aged between 28 and 30, with a slim build and a height of around 6ft. He had short dark hair and was wearing glasses, a black coat, a grey top, jeans, worker-style boots and a chunky silver chain.
- The second person is described as a white woman aged between 20 and 25, with a slim build and long dark hair. She was wearing a black hooded top and black trousers.
Police appeal for information
Officers said they have carried out a trawl of CCTV footage and conducted intelligence checks as part of the investigation. Images have now been released of the two people police believe may have information that could help establish what happened.
