Police have released CCTV images of two people they want to speak to after a staff member was assaulted inside a shop in Middle Street, Yeovil.
The incident happened at about 4.15pm on Saturday 11 April. Avon and Somerset Police said an unknown man and woman entered a shop selling mobile phone accessories before the staff member was assaulted. Damage was also caused to a security camera during the incident.
The victim, a man in his mid-twenties, was not injured. Police said they have remained in contact with him while the investigation continues.
Images released as enquiries continue
Officers said they have made several enquiries, including a trawl of CCTV. Intelligence checks have also been carried out. Police have now reached the stage of releasing images of two people because they believe the pair may have information that could assist the investigation.
The first person is described as a white man aged between 28 and 30. Police said he has a slim build, is around 6ft tall and has short dark hair. He was wearing glasses, a black coat, a grey top, jeans, worker-style boots and a chunky silver chain.
The second person is described as a white woman aged between 20 and 25, with a slim build and long dark hair. She was wearing a black hooded top and black trousers.

The force said the appeal is intended to help identify the two people or establish whether they have information that could assist officers with their enquiries.
