A 41-year-old woman reported missing in Yeovil has been found safe with her family, Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed. The update brings the public search for Joanne to an end.
Joanne was last seen on Sherborne Road at about 11am on Friday, 21 August. Yeovil Today first reported the missing-person appeal on 22 August 2026 and updated the report on 23 August after police confirmed that the case had been resolved.
Police had asked residents and other members of the public to share information that could help establish where Joanne was. Officers warned that she might appear confused if approached.

Joanne was described as approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with short grey hair. When she was reported missing, she was wearing a grey and pink T-shirt, blue harem trousers with an elephant print and white trainers.
