Yeovil Town forward Luke McCormick has joined AFC Fylde on loan until 13 January, ending a period in which the 27-year-old had not featured for the Glovers since 15 September.
McCormick was appointed Yeovil Town captain in the summer and had scored six goals in eight National League matches this season before moving to the National League side.
McCormick’s Yeovil record
The forward has scored 14 goals in 40 league appearances for Yeovil. His six goals in eight league games this season made him one of the club’s most productive players before his absence from the team.
The move follows comments from Yeovil boss Billy Rowley earlier this month. Asked about McCormick’s future, Rowley said he was probably not going to play for the club again, referring to what he described as a dispute.
Possible AFC Fylde debut
McCormick could make his first appearance for AFC Fylde in Saturday’s FA Cup fourth-round qualifying tie against Atherton Collieries.
For Yeovil supporters, the loan deal provides a temporary change to the club’s attacking options while McCormick begins his spell with Fylde. The agreement is scheduled to run until 13 January.
