Yeovil Town captain Luke McCormick is unavailable for selection because of an internal matter, manager Billy Rowley has said.
The midfielder was left out of the squad for the Glovers’ 4-1 win over Solihull Moors on Friday, even though Yeovil did not name a full bench. He was also absent from the squad for Tuesday night’s Somerset Men’s Premier Cup match against Radstock Town.

Rowley addressed the situation during a pre-match press conference ahead of Yeovil’s trip to Kidderminster Harriers this weekend. Responding to BBC Somerset reporter Ed Hadwin, who asked why McCormick had not been involved in the previous two matches, the manager said the matter was internal.
“It was an internal matter that I had with Luke. At the moment, he’s unavailable for selection, and that’s just just my decision, and it’s something that we’ll obviously bring a little bit more clarity on soon. We appreciate the fans are asking a lot of questions. I fully know that they want transparency, and and that will be, you know, given to them in in due course.”
Rowley’s comments indicate that supporters should expect a further explanation, although no specific timetable or details of the internal matter were provided.
McCormick’s role at Yeovil Town
McCormick is the club captain and has scored six goals for the Glovers this season. His absence leaves vice-captain and defender Joe Gubbins expected to continue as captain while he is unavailable.
